Amino Arc, by Kainos Aminos, is a local-first tracking journal. This policy describes the app and this support website. Contact support@kainosaminos.com with privacy questions.

Information on your device

The app may store your name, optional email, date of birth, profile preferences, routines, compound names, planned and logged amounts, injection sites, inventory, calculator setups, measurements, symptoms, notes, profile picture and progress photos. Journal and photo records stay in the app’s local storage by default. The app has no cloud journal backup service.

Apple Health

Connection is optional and read-only. You choose permissions. Supported information includes weight, body fat, BMI, lean body mass, height, waist circumference; heart rate, resting and walking heart rate, HRV, breathing rate, oxygen saturation, blood pressure, glucose, temperature and VO₂ max; sleep, steps, energy, walking/running distance, exercise and standing time, flights climbed; water, food energy, protein, carbohydrates and fat.

Imports can include up to one year of available history. Previously imported records may remain in the journal. The app does not write to Apple Health, sell Health data, use it for advertising or upload it to our servers. Revoking Health permission in Apple Health or iPhone Settings stops future access. Imported copies already in the journal remain; to remove all of them, back up anything you want to keep and erase that local profile in Menu → Manage data. Individual imported Health stats do not currently have a separate delete control.

Photos, reminders and AI feedback

The system photo picker provides only images you select. The app stores resized copies locally; progress photos preserve their aspect ratio. You may explicitly export or share photo archives. Optional photo and dose notifications are scheduled locally through iOS; the app does not use remote push notifications.

On supported iPhones, requested AI feedback uses Apple’s on-device model and selected journal facts. It is not sent to a cloud AI service. Generated feedback stays in memory and is not a medical assessment.

Optional Kainos membership

Email-link sign-in sends your email to Google Firebase Authentication to deliver and verify a sign-in link. This uses your existing Kainos account or creates an account if you are new. The password option sends your email and password to Firebase for verification; your password is not stored by the app.

A refresh credential is kept in this device’s Keychain; short-lived access tokens stay in memory. Authenticated requests to kainosaminos.com enroll membership, associate eligible earlier orders and retrieve points and tier information. These services may process connection metadata such as IP addresses. Journal entries, progress photos, measurements, symptoms, protocols, injection history and Health data are not included in membership requests.

A pending email-link request keeps its email, local profile reference and random nonce in device-only Keychain until completion or unlinking. Unlinking removes app credentials and cached rewards information. It does not delete your Kainos website account, purchase records or local journal. Contact support for website account deletion assistance; records required for orders or legal obligations may need to be retained.

Optional stock-reminder emails

This service is not currently enabled for production. If made available, it requires a separate, explicit opt-in. It uses your account email, consent record, an estimated reminder time and an opaque event identifier. It does not send compound names, doses, stock quantities or Health records. The reminder time can reveal health-related activity. The app will explain this before you opt in.

Exports and support

You control exports and sharing. Journal backups and photo archives are separate files. An export may contain sensitive information; the destination you choose handles it under its own policies. Your device’s backup behavior is controlled by Apple and your iOS settings.

If you email support, your email address, message and any attachments pass through the email providers and are used to respond. We retain correspondence only as reasonably needed for support, abuse prevention or legal obligations. Do not include private health records unless you deliberately choose to share them.

This website

The app website is hosted by Google Firebase Hosting. Website hosting and domain services process network requests, including IP addresses and browser/request details, to deliver and protect the pages. These pages have no advertising, tracking pixels, analytics scripts or account forms. Links to the Kainos store are governed by that site’s privacy policy.

Retention and your choices

Local records remain until you delete them, erase a profile or remove the app, subject to device backups. You can export records, delete entries and photos, remove local profiles, disable reminders and unlink membership within the app. Revoke Health access in Apple Health or iPhone Settings. Unlinking and deleting a local profile do not delete the shared website account.

The app is not directed to children and is not a Kids Category app. We do not sell personal information. We will update this policy when the app’s data practices change.
